Every year Journey of Faith/RCIA has an exclusive, special evening with Father David where they take part in the Rite of Sending. This intimate ceremony is an expression of agreement for the RCIA participants to receive sacraments and enter fully into the Catholic Church at Easter Vigil.  
         RCIA Participants signed the Book of Elect affirming their decision to move forward in their journey towards the sacraments. Father David spoke blessings upon blessings over the RCIA participants that have been in deep studies and reflection together since this past fall. Father David, in his authentic and loving way, expressed the care and support of the St. John the Baptist community. The heavens poured gentle rain over our Lubbock land as the Rite of Sending took place on the evening of Monday, February 13th. It was a treasure!
      Please keep the Journey of Faith/RCIA participants in prayer as the next phase on their voyage will be at the Rite of Election where they will join the rest of the Lubbock Diocese RCIA participants to receive the blessing of Bishop Coerver on their way to Easter Vigil.
