Saint John the Baptist held it's 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat event Sunday, Oct 28th. Organized by the Knights of Columbus, CCE classes and the Hospitality Committee, the event was a huge success! Attendees strolled through a parking lot full of decorated trunks to receive Halloween treats. Trunk themes included “Sharks”, “M&M’s”, “Scoring for Jesus”, “Hail Mary’s aren’t just for Football” and "Jurassic Park," just to name a few. 2nd place prize for best decorated trunk went to “Candyland." 1st place was won by “Captain Andy’s Plank”. Estimated attendance was 600+, double last year’s turnout. Volunteers from the West Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department provided tours of their fire truck and also served as guest judges for the costume and decorated trunks contests. Special thanks to McClain Foods who donated two pickup loads of candy; the Joe and Myrna Porras family and 50th Street Caboose for their contributions to the costume and trunk prizes awarded. A big thank you to all who participated and gave of their time, talents and hearts to make this a huge success. To view pictures of a few of the trunks featured click here.
