ch is a thriving community of many members working together for the life of our parish. We want to take this moment to shine the spotlight on Emma & Rey Arias!
Emma & Rey have been the instructors for our Baptism class for almost four years. These baptism classes are often the first welcoming encounter for couples to get more involved at SJTB. As Emma teaches Godparents, "Becoming a Godparent is an honor, but it is also a great responsibility to be active in your faith and church. It is often an eye-opening experience."
They say it is moving to watch these new parents and godparents in this new stage of life. Emma & Rey have been married for 31 years and have a 29-year-old son and a 25-year-old daughter. While they help these parents navigate the very beginning of raising children in the faith, Emma & Rey are enjoying the changes in their relationships with their children now that they have grown.
Whether a class of 1 or 10 people, whether a class taught face to face or through the rough and sometimes tricky Zoom platform, Rey & Emma have been praying and helping every parent, Godparent, and child who has come to our church for this fundamental sacrament. On behalf of all our parish, thank you for your service and dedication! You continue to make a beautiful impact on our parish.
