Knight's of Columbus Nurturing Center Presentation: Through it's "One Rose One Life" program and your generous donations, the SJTB Knight's of Columbus presented a check to The Nurturing Center to be used in it's program to assist expectant mothers. RCIA Rite of Sending: In preparation to receive their sacraments during the upcoming Easter Vigil, SJTB Candidates and Catecumens received the Rite of Sending on February 25th. Fr. David and RCIA Ministry Leaders, Gilbert and Lucy Escobar, led the participants in prayer and presented each with a Holy Bible and Cross. Knight's of Columbus 2019 Mardi Gras Fundraiser: A great time was held by all those in attendane at the 3rd Annual Knight's of Columbus Mardi Gras Fundraiser. As has been in the past, the majority of the proceeds raised will go toward our new mult-purpose building. The Knight's worked tirelessly in preparation for the annual event. The silent and live auctions provided great entertainment and bidders were in fierce bidding wars to garner their chosen treasures. Two of the live auction items up for bid were being crowned the King or Queen of the Mardi Gras. This provided great fun and was an entertaining part of the night. 2019 Lenten Retreat: Almost 80 parishioners particpated in this year's Lenten Retreat presented by the Spiritual Life Committee. Guest speaker this year was Fr. Bruce Nieli. Fr. Nieli is a Paulist Priest, evangelist and missionary based at St. Austin Church in Austin. Fr. Bruce leads parish missions and retreats and speaks at a variety of diocesan and regional conference. The retreat was entitled, "Awakening the Spirit: Forgiveness and Healing." Fr. Bruce led the group in Gospel readings, song and prayer during the morning long retreat. Fr. Bruce joined Fr. David in celebrating Mass both Saturday and Sunday. Attendees left feeling renewed, refreshed and more in love with our Lord. After the retreat, all gathered for a group picture with Fr. Multi-purpose Building Parishioner Signed Beams: Our beautiful multi-purpose building continues to take shape in anticipation of the move in early fall. A few months back we gathered as a family to sign beams that were to be put into the framework of the building. Click here to see pictures of the signed beams incorporated into the structure as it takes shape. May God continue to guide the hands of all those involved in the construction of our new building, as well as keep them safe as they work to achieve completion.
