Here are some questions we would like you to ponder before coming to the listening session.
THE MAIN QUESTION: How do you experience your faith life as a journey? How would you describe the journey of the Diocese of Lubbock? How do you see the Universal Church as being on a journey? Where/How do you find the work of the Holy Spirit in that journey experience? COMPANIONS ON THE JOURNEY: Who would be some people you consider companions on your/our faith journey? Who seems to be distant from the journey?
LISTENING: How do you feel listened to by the Church? What limits the Church’s ability to listen? Who do you/we need to listen to more attentively?
SPEAKING OUT: What enables or hinders speaking up courageously, candidly, and responsibly in our local Church and society? How can the Church better speak out to/with media sources?
CELEBRATION: How does our experience of liturgical celebrations and Sacraments inspire and guide us on our journey as individuals and together? How can more people get involved as active participants in those celebrations?
SHARING RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR COMMON MISSION: Since we are all missionary disciples, how is every baptized person called to participate in the mission of the Church? What hinders the baptized from being active in the mission? What areas of the mission are we neglecting?
