And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth. – John 1:14
As we enter into Christmas, I am mindful of the many ways God blesses us. We are especially mindful of the greatest blessing God has given us; Jesus, His Son, and our Savior.
Born in Bethlehem, in humble surroundings, he spent his entire life giving of himself to others, especially the sick, poor, blind, hungry, forgotten, broken-hearted, and sinners in need of God's mercy. Just like the Lord, who gave so much of himself to others, I am grateful for you and the way you have given your time, talent, and treasure this year to benefit your brothers and sisters in Christ.
"It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you. Yes, it is Christmas every time you smile at your brothers and sisters and offer them your hand." – Mother Teresa
From the bottom of my heart, know of my appreciation and love for you all. Without families and individuals like you, who make up our parish, there would be no St. John the Baptist Church! May the season of giving return to you a measure of the love and sacrifice you have given us. And may the birth of the Christ child bring you joy and peace!
